We are reaching out on behalf of Balaram Roy, a 4-year-old boy diagnosed with Relapsed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Balaram has been bravely undergoing treatment through medications, investigations, and chemotherapy. His doctors at SRCC Children’s Hospital have recommended a Bone Marrow Transplant as the next crucial step in his journey to recovery, allowing him the chance to live a healthy and normal life.
The estimated cost of the transplant is Rs 20,50,000. Balaram will undergo a Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplant, with one of his parents serving as the donor, under the care of Dr. Chintan Vyas. The hospital has generously offered a 15% discount on the final bill. However, despite this discount, the cost remains beyond the family's means.
Balaram’s family resides in Village Bijra, Panpur, P.S. Haringhata, Nadia, West Bengal 741249. His father is a construction worker earning approximately Rs 9,000 per month, with no other sources of income. The family consists of Balaram’s mother and an elder sibling who is currently studying.
Balaram was first diagnosed in 2021 when he developed a persistent fever. After consultations and initial treatments, he was diagnosed and treated in Calcutta but experienced a relapse. His condition has now brought him to SRCC Children’s Hospital for the Bone Marrow Transplant.
The family has already spent over Rs 1,00,000 on treatment but lacks the financial resources to cover the full cost of the transplant.
We kindly request your support to help Balaram and his family during this critical time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in ensuring that Balaram receives the life-saving treatment he needs.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
